Any fit-out inside Trakhees jurisdiction — Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, Dubai Maritime City, Discovery Gardens and parts of JLT — needs Trakhees EHS and Civil approval before work starts, and fire & life-safety is where most submissions fail. Egress, fire-rated partitions and coordinated MEP have to be designed to Trakhees standards, by a Trakhees-registered contractor. We design to those standards and carry the permit through.
The Trakhees approval process
Jurisdiction & registration
Confirm the unit is in Trakhees jurisdiction and that the contractor holds Trakhees registration (unregistered contractors are rejected outright).

Submit EHS + Civil approval
Lodge drawings with tenancy/title, EHS package and contractor registration.
Review & permit
Trakhees EHS and Civil review; respond to comments and obtain the fit-out permit.
Build & inspections
Execute the fit-out with Trakhees inspections through to the completion certificate.

Frequently asked
Do I need Trakhees approval for a fit-out?
Yes — any fit-out in Trakhees jurisdiction (Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, Discovery Gardens, parts of JLT and more) needs EHS and Civil approval before works begin.
How long does Trakhees fit-out approval take?
Usually 2–4 weeks for a coordinated EHS + Civil submission. Construction is a separate 4–10 weeks.
Why are Trakhees fit-out submissions rejected?
Most often fire/life-safety non-compliance, an incomplete EHS package, uncoordinated MEP, or an unregistered contractor. We design to Trakhees standards from the start.
Is Palm Jumeirah under Trakhees?
Yes — Palm Jumeirah permits and fit-out approvals run through Trakhees (PCFC), even though Nakheel is the community developer.
