Why Flooring Fails in Dubai — and How to Avoid It
The most expensive marble in the world will crack within months if it is laid on a poorly prepared substrate. Yet that is exactly what happens in countless Dubai homes. The screed is uneven, the adhesive is wrong for the tile size, expansion joints are missing, and the result is hollow tiles, cracked grout lines and lippage you can feel underfoot. It is not the material that fails — it is the installation.
Wood flooring presents a different challenge. Dubai's humidity levels swing dramatically between the air-conditioned interior (sometimes as low as 20%) and the ambient environment (regularly above 80%). Solid hardwood cannot cope with this range and will inevitably cup, crown or gap. Even engineered wood will fail if it is not properly acclimatised before installation, if the subfloor moisture is not tested, or if expansion gaps are insufficient. We regularly replace flooring that is less than two years old because the original installer cut corners on preparation.

Marble & Natural Stone
Italian Carrara, Calacatta, Statuario, Turkish travertine, Indian granite and more. We handle slab selection, bookmatching, precision cutting, installation and crystallisation polishing. Every joint is aligned and every surface is sealed for long-term protection.
Porcelain & Ceramic Tiles
Large-format porcelain (up to 120x260cm), patterned ceramics, textured surfaces and outdoor anti-slip tiles. We use the correct adhesive system for each tile size and weight, with proper expansion joints and waterproofing where required.
Engineered Wood
European oak, walnut, ash and herringbone patterns. We source from manufacturers who kiln-dry to the correct moisture content for the Gulf region. Every installation includes 48-hour acclimatisation, subfloor moisture testing and precision-cut expansion gaps.
SPC & LVT Flooring
Stone Polymer Composite and Luxury Vinyl Tile flooring — waterproof, scratch-resistant and available in realistic wood and stone finishes. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and high-traffic areas. Quick installation with click-lock systems and minimal subfloor preparation.
Epoxy & Resin Floors
Seamless epoxy and metallic resin floors for garages, basements, showrooms and contemporary living spaces. Self-levelling application with anti-slip additives, chemical resistance and a mirror-smooth or textured finish to suit your design.

Survey & Selection
Site survey to assess existing flooring, substrate condition and floor levels. Material consultation with samples, followed by a fully itemised quotation with no hidden costs.
Preparation
Removal of existing flooring, substrate repair, self-levelling compound application, waterproofing for wet areas and primer application. The foundation that makes everything else work.
Installation
Precision installation with correct adhesive systems, expansion joints, level transitions between rooms and pattern alignment. Every tile checked for lippage, every plank checked for gaps.
Finishing & Handover
